Manufacturing is actually down, because the Trump tariffs made no attempt to account for foreign-made parts necessary for American manufacturers.

The stimulus level wasn't really his fault. It was basically what Sue Collins could approve, b/c Democratic Senators were never going to strip the filibuster.

Not prosecuting torturers was his fault, as was not pushing on mortgage cramdown, which I think he could have gotten with effort.

And yes, a lawsuit is not proof, but the basis of the class action is that UH pretended it could continue to deny care at the same rate when it couldn't do that b/c of public pressure, and the false claim led to claims about profit which UH knew/should have known were false.

"This [2025] guidance was false [on earnings per share] b/c it omitted how the Company would have to adjust its strategy (which resulted in heightened denials compared to industry competitors) b/c of scrutiny from the USs Senate, as well as public scrutiny" as a result of Thompson's killing.

Ah, the A-10 Warthog. The only people who hate it more than enemy ground troops are, strangely, the USAF.

True, tho sadly those over-represented groups include members of the media and elected officials, who are horrifyingly heavily influenced by what they read on Twitter.

The Gulf War had a messed-up ending b/c it went too well. They gave CNN video of Marines practicing landing so the Iraqis would see it. The idea was when Marines landed, the Republican Guard would advance against them, allowing US armor to sweep in behind. But the Guard ran, leaving them intact.

What's the definition of sabotage that this chart is using? If the US stops providing financial support, or withdraws MFN trade status, does that constitute sabotage?

Yes! I remember thinking, back in the day, "man if we could only get people to open up about their subconscious bigotry/rage, we could confront and overcome it."

Nope! I take it back! I was extremely wrong!

I think it also feeds on itself. Once they feel free to say the most vicious thought in their head, they start thinking stuff that's even more vicious. Trump both evokes and capitalizes on the existing cruel impulses and sews new layers of barbarism.

Its a funny line, but American public opinion seems less prone to consensus as time goes on. In 1964 LBJ won 44 states and 61% of the vote; in 1984, Reagan won 49 states and 59% of the vote. From 1992-on, nobody's won more than 32 states and nobody's gotten to 53% of the vote.

"Mocked everyone"= mocked one person

"for saying AI was a tool of fascism"= for saying "if you use AI, you're a fascist, end of story"

Are lies and exaggerations tools of fascism?

Basically the first 20 seconds of this video. If Republicans actually cared about Biblical stuff, he'd be a really effective politician; as it is, he just impresses people who don't realize Republicans DNGAF about any aspect of the Bible inconvenient for them.

Vance seems to hate Vance for it as well.

When the issue came up, he wasn't like "my wife's race doesn't matter, and anyone who says it does sucks." Instead, it was like, yes, its too bad she's not white, but her other traits make it for it (and later said something similar re her Hinduism).
