Totally agree, how freely giving possession away can be seen as a tactic is beyond me.
I'm not a big fan of the long throw either, fine if you're Dave Challinor or Rory Delap, and can do a decent one, but not many can.

He looks a good prospect, Boro played him left back last season, he played right wing for us v Roma in a friendly which I saw and looked lively, should have been on our bench tonight tbh

If Newcastle/Villa/Forest consistently have to fight off big clubs trying to buy our 1st choice players, it doesn’t really matter who is in your recruitment team. Newcastle stuck their neck out to buy Isak in the first place and then to lose him after a brilliant season must be a kick in the teeth.

If Newcastle/Villa/Forest consistently have to fight off big clubs trying to buy our 1st choice players, it doesn’t really matter who is in your recruitment team. Newcastle stuck their neck out to buy Isak in the first place and then to lose him after a brilliant season must be a kick in the teeth.
And it was in the 1st half so we would have had a bit of time to get an equaliser, it wasn’t next goal is the winner

I’m still not 100% I want Villa to sign him if we do scrape CL this season, if it means selling Watkins it’s a no from me, and Ascensio seems a better fit for us if we could only sign 1 of them.

The suit didn’t match the game, a very tense 0-0 that went to extra time, also marks the last time I invaded the pitch, with a few others I must add.

Our set pieces seem to work better when John McGinn is on the pitch, and Austin used to have the Scotland gig, so this is the first time for a while he can't rely on John.

Or make VAR the one with all the power, the ref on the pitch makes decisions but it’s down to the VAR ref to make the ultimate decision, they’ve got access to loads of camera angles, and haven’t got players moaning at them for 100+minutes, “that’s a corner Tayls” “2nd yellow all day Olly” dead easy

At least this season we’ve managed to hound out officials who eat sandwiches in front of managers, next season will be the refs who think players making no attempt at the ball might be a yellow, might be a red.
