Could your cable be backwards? I vaguely remember hearing that those usb-a to usb-a cables are actually different at each terminal, but I could be completely wrong.

I really like the static site generators that let you mix templated html and markdown like Zola. Feels like plain html, but you can write longer posts on markdown, which I think is more comfortable.

Ok, but have you considered I've already memorized the footguns for C++, and so it's automatically better than the languages I don't know the footguns for? (/s, to be clear)
