We are certainly carrying a heavier weight and maybe we just have different definitions of freedom, but indies have way more control over their work-life and I see this as a kind of freedom.

Nothing is less free than being forced to do something you dislike for reasons you don’t agree with and that is a core experience of employment.

Being indie grants way more freedom.

I have had a long career with the last 12 years being indie and once you reach a certain level the weight of responsibility takes a hold on employees as well.

Not for every topic as it is for indies but employees become responsible for decisions they did not even make.

Reading from over here the confusing part is to see Europe treated as one thing.

Public transport is free in a few places but not generally.

Racism is rampant but NY-sized European cities have had Muslim mayors.

Strengt at kaste maling inde på rådhuset når Pernille er i Industriens Hus i sit komfortable lobbyist-job når hun ikke kunne blive overborgmester.

Another difference is that Settings doesn’t have to pass app review. 😏

I have found it helps to have 1pt larger font size and slightly more contrast for recurring price compared to intro offer details.

I write about this excruciatingly in app review notes.

What is you max indentation level (number of chars before non-space) and what is your max line length across all projects?

I have always been afraid Apple would start removing apps that purchased reviews and targeted installs as the natural reaction from bad actors is to start buying those for their competitors.

Perhaps the complainer knows and if he doesn’t that makes his complaint a little less important.

What triggered me is that part of the skill issue (IMO) is people putting too much trust in their agents and letting them roam free.

Lots of tokens and (more importantly) human time wasted doing this.

I see people describing their elaborate systems on reddit and it sounds a lot like one of my sports-betting friends describing his fool proof system that somehow always needs a bit of tweaking.

I find LLMs super useful and would hate to program without Claude Code but I think you and many other people are over optimistic.

When the agent works independently there is a risk it fucks up and you can reduce that risk, but it never goes to zero with current models.

Can’t work independently and competently at the same time.
