i see i see!! the system we're writing is for an original wip & never the pov character outside of potential future extras, so i haven't gotten to touch on those things too much yet myself. it's both weird and fun to figure out writing a system character isn't it ☺️

that's really interesting! the character we've been working at has some "tells" between alters that're rooted in the fantasy setting. he didn't start out as a system when we first wrote him, but he always had trauma, so alters have sort of been breaking him down into parts that feel right.

it's hard sometimes, but working with this sort of thing in a fantasy setting can be a lot of fun to play with!!!

DID is caused by trauma, so it's impossible to have had a perfectly stable childhood if you have it. some folks are just more comfortable talking about it in-depth than others :)

💜 there are self harm/eating disorder communities (generally run hand in hand) which tend to post about SH/EDs, methods for both, pictures of wounds, talking about current weight/goals, fatphobia, etc. often they'll be "pro-recovery" while actively worsening both their & others' issues

💜 bloo posts system stuff on an "oh, right, this is a thing we have, here's a funny system-related tidbit" basis. i front and open our account with my feet kicked up like it's the morning newspaper.

💜 he's at the "well sometimes i just worry my friends are upset with me" stage and i'm learning it isn't selfish to want to be around the person i'm dating & that i do deserve to even THINK about our partner for comfort. yikes.

💜 we do draw the line at fiction relating to irl people because at that point it's no longer just fiction, but we believe very strongly in people's right to explore whatever they want to in fiction.

💜 proship for us is exactly the equivalent to anti-harassment, but we prefer pro-fiction for how much more all-encompassing it is. we don't believe anyone should be harassed for anything they like/write in fiction, literally no matter how distasteful or "illegal" the content is.

💜 bit late to the reply on this but we've run into a ridiculous amount of anti-endo sentiment on twt. we only joined systwt less than a year ago though, so no clue how bad it was before recently.

💜 i've been luckier on bsky than on twt, but over there it's near-impossible to find people who are both at LEAST not gatekeepers about plurality & shipping. it's such a pain in the ass. but it's harder to determine for sure on here without a profile search feature unfortunately

I think a lot of people see systems sillyposting on X and Bluesky, assume what they post online is all that's going on, don't think any deeper, and decide they're lying, and they do this to both endo and traumagenic systems.

we're super into it right now!!!!!!!!! we watch a lot of hollow knight challenge videos :D
