Your feelings are valid. This *gestures broadly at work etc* sucks. Frankly, I think the idea of a “dream job” is a myth for most. Gotta judge the work, the conditions, the community etc on a sliding scale, and treasure fulfillment where you find it, which doesn’t have to be at work.
