Last night out looking for Nightjars. Just after 9 had churring and a fly over. 9.20 heard a raptor calling, suspect Goshawk, never heard one before and the nightjars all went quiet. Hung around for about half an hour and no more nightjars? Do Goshawks hunt at night?

The weather on Mull on the @oriolebirding.bsky.social trip has been appalling 2day but we still saw Otters and some wet shoreline birds! The water coming off the hills was astonishing. Waterfalls everywhere

Love to see a Grey Phalarope in breeding condition. Lucky enough to see Wilson’s in breeding plumage.
The stunning breeding plumage female Grey (Red) Phalarope at Spiggie, Shetland, this afternoon. What an incredible looking bird! Not often seen looking like this in the UK. My only other sighting was about a decade ago at Brandon Marsh, Warks! #Phalarope #Waders #Wildlife #UkBirding
