I volunteered at the Immigration Law & Justice office recently. I have a PhD & I did clerical work in a small, hot office. Volunteering is mostly about just showing up to do whatever needs done to lighten the burden of nonprofit workers a little. We can all do something. Go get into your community!

Someone managed to get my picture while I was briefly volunteering today at the protest. It was truly a great day where I got to hug the necks of so many new friends. Wonderful job today, #TraverseCity! Proud to stand with you all! ❤️🤍💙

I spoke today at the Traverse Indv TownHall for #JackBergman It’s a very white town & I wanted to remind everyone that we cannot forget to protect ALL people in our efforts regardless of religion, culture, skin tone, ability, finances or immigration status. There can be no hierarchy. #WeRiseTogether
