That thought is one I hadn’t considered, and as an avid gamer myself it does strike a chord.

I think applying a universal label is what I take trouble with. Not everyone is doing these things in bad faith, but I think enough are that I can’t call myself either pro or anti.

A personal enjoyment out of what they say is a “story choice” and don’t think too deeply about the story past the part they enjoy… the taboo part.
Maybe I’m ignorant to some larger concepts or voices, but it seems that division is covering up those who use proship as a cover for taboo impulses. 3/3

Well, my understanding of proship comes from what anti-shipper tend to retaliate against. Most I’ve heard of anti shippers seem to be against incest, pedophilia, and beastiality.

These are concepts that are taboo, and should be relegated to thought alone, in my opinion. 1/2

As simply exploring the taboo, acknowledging it in your mind and moving past it.

I’ve understood taboo and faced and struggled with it, but I wouldn’t surround myself with it or post it publicly because I’d feel too ensnared in what that taboo is.

I am staunchly anti-Trump and all he represents, but I also can’t make sense of proship.

I ask to understand, because most of the posts leave me clueless to the actual arguments. I don’t seek to mindlessly put you down, I just want to really know why *posting* taboo is just as acceptable as 1/2
