Oh I don't disagree that it's goofy as hell that they can't use the Passport as proof of ID for the Real ID. Your comment just readto me like it was arguing that there's no practical use for the Real ID over a Passport

The day that I was contemplating coming out, I was walking to work and saw a Merlin (the bird) swoop down and kill a pigeon in mid air right in front of me. It was sick as hell and a sign I couldn't deny.

If you have no means or plans to leave the country, a passport is a very labor intensive process for no reason. VS most adults in the US drive, so they're already carrying the drivers license/real ID around.

Because most people don't have passports or access to getting a passport easily. A cool thing about living in a society is it isn't actually about YOU. A passport does trump your Real ID for identification purposes, but most people don't want to be carrying a drivers license and a passport around.

A friend of mine is doing the same for their DND campaign. They aren't a trained artist and struggle with identifying some of the finer details, and they've simply elected to only using art before the late 2010's because it isn't worth it to risk it. It SUCKS
