I have the same issue with religious "I'll pray for your soul" types. They claim to love everyone, or that god or jesus loves everyone, but they're wishing for some cosmic entity to change who I am. They're wishing harm on people.

Exactly. Even if conversion therapies worked, even if they were a simple, painless procedure, they would still constitute an act of violence. And I think "The Outcast" made that point very well

I don't often argue with people these days because I don't feel like finding out if they're being bad faith or not, but I tried explaining: If most people were gay or trans, and straight or cis people were 'treated' for their 'condition', would it make it any better that the treatment was painless?

I think a lot of people don't get it. I've spoken to people who have taken all kinds of things away from it - is it about gay conversion, is it about trans identity etc. But some people have told me it's a good ending because she's 'cured' 🫠

Thank you 😊 Yeah it's crazy the psychological affect it has. I'm still processing it but it's amazing how different things feel already
