cool! i do have a surface pro myself, albeit, the old 5th generation but when I’m at home I use a gaming laptop in which I can do pretty much anything from, I don’t carry the gaming laptop around because it’s heavy AF

Sometimes I like to absolutely destroy the bitrate on videos for comedic effect, something that I have not seen a single GUI for ffmpeg willingly let me do with ease.

The easiest way to get the intended effect I want is by exclusively using the command line.

You see the problem now? With windows, I have to install a third-party app to solve my problems, with Linux, I can just do all of that without needing to install any extra programs beyond what my distro already offers.

I can also say that with Linux, I can customize my system’s behavior on a “fine-grained” level, such as a system that responds differently depending on power source changes. On battery, the system could automatically adjust CPU scaling or disable background tasks to extend battery life.

Well, I could say that I’ve benefited from Linux’s deep integration with shell scripting, I’ve used it to automate mundane tasks—say, automatically backing up folders at log-off, syncing configuration files across multiple machines, etc.
