On a l'impression que les médias gaslightent constamment le public, qu'ils minimisent à quel point les choses deviennent autoritaires et ne font que des critiques tièdes du président.

💀 Je l'entends trop le dire.

His framing of this is so disingenuous and dangerous, completely reinforcing why so many progressives united to block him from getting elected. As if there was ever any doubt which crowd he was trying to court

À ce rythme, ce sont le chaos permanent et l’incertitude qui ont plus d’impact que les tarifs eux-mêmes. Et il nous reste encore plus de trois ans à subir tout ça.

Thanks for all you do, Boots! Always appreciate hearing your insight

So grateful for your content— as a politically-engaged Canadian, I’ve definitely noticed the lack of content creators focusing on Canadian news/politics, a lot of Canadian creators end up creating US focused content—nothing wrong with that, per se, but it leaves a bit of a void.

It’s such weird, unhinged behaviour. Also, the idea that we have to be able to just take abuse over there, as if it’s not just a platform people voluntarily use. Like, why wouldn’t I prefer the friendly place to the one calling me slurs?
June 11, 2025 at 9:04 PM
I don’t understand that mentality—it’s not a team sport, we don’t do ourselves any favours when we refuse to listen to criticism. Like you said, bad policy is bad policy—regardless of who is tabling it.

And another pause, better than nothing but once again, just more uncertainty
May 12, 2025 at 2:57 PM
I really appreciate the Canada-focus of your content. A lot of Canadian content creators tend to focus more on the U.S.—there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s important to have folks covering what’s going on in our own backyard too.

He admits he doesn’t know anything about our politics and then proceeds to put in his two cents (proving his former point) anyway

Mark Carney a choisi la diplomatie. J'ai trouvé que son attitude calme l'avait bien servi.
May 7, 2025 at 12:11 PM
He was in the lion’s den. As hard as it was to watch, it could have gone a lot worse—I thought Carney handled himself as well as he could have, given everything—and avoiding any escalation in rhetoric while still standing firm and pushing back where warranted.

“If Carney had not run, he would not be Prime Minister”

Thank you for your tireless work and commitment to making Canada better— the NDP got a lot accomplished under your leadership, being able to hold the balance of power, bargain for the dental care plan. Thank you for all you do, and for pushing for progressive policies for Canadians. 🧡

Ohh this was a nice summary of events! Great to see your input as well!

That scrum was embarrassing, Rebel News is not news—they sent a bunch of provocateurs to get sound bytes. Agreed also re: the way the situation was mishandled with the Greens. Will be curious to see how things go tonight. Always appreciate your perspective!

Not inspirational, but sincere and vulnerable— I liked it, Carrie demolished the scene, I just wish we had seen more sincerity from the other two friends too.

Always important to hold people accountable, even those you ideologically agree with. If anything, I think that makes you more credible—as you’re not just partisan. Seeing so many in media south of the border afraid to speak up against the orange one—I don’t think anyone should be above criticism.

Really disappointing move here —the thing is, giving into bullies only reinforces their behaviour, and they will just move the goal posts.
April 2, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Incredibly disappointed in CTV. I think with all of the recent attacks we’ve seen against media, it’s more important than ever to hold firm and keep a principled stance. Thank you for all you do, Rachel!

C'est très effrayant à voir.

Literally went out unknowingly with my winter jacket today and had to just take everything off. Was too warm even for my spring jacket. No in between to enjoy :(
