… slightly rebranding the structures that got us into this mess. That is ultimately the problem we keep facing as a species. We keep repeating the same patterns over and over, around the world and throughout time. Each time we rebuild, we use the template that’s familiar - so the cycle begins again.

… it takes to reach the tipping point where the collapse takes on enough momentum the avalanche is inevitable, and whether or not we, and I mean this internationally, actually break the pattern enough that in reconfiguring the balance of power and social structures we don’t just end up

As it has over and over, the ‘authoritarian playbook’ and the related ‘collapse of empire’ playbook indicate clearly that ultimately the whole thing cannibalizes itself and implodes.

I suspect the questions will be more a matter of how much worse will it get in the amount of time

I don’t think PT wants a charismatic leader. He wants another figure head. But this one he wants to be boring, equally as easy to manipulate - if not more so - and not compelling enough to be able to gather enough support or allies to challenge PT.

I don’t think, in the end, it will be effective.
November 15, 2025 at 6:09 AM
I certainly agree with your assessment of Vance. But I think that’s part of the reason he was the one chosen.

The fact that he’s not charismatic won’t matter if he’s being slid into the position without an election, and if their goal is to essentially suspend elections “temporarily” (not).
November 15, 2025 at 6:09 AM
He can’t keep track of how many zeros there are in the different “-illions”, so we can only handle one of them in a sentence at a time.
November 15, 2025 at 5:57 AM
Is there any indication he would be able to identify someone’s ability to empathize in order to hire them to do the work on his behalf? I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t know empathy if it jumped up underneath his nose and did the can can.

Or change the Wi-Fi password every half hour.

… his cronies and minions will have far more protection in the big reveals about the Epstein files. Not because none of them were involved, but because PT in particular has always played a long game whereas the current president has always been impetuous, easily manipulated, and shortsighted.
November 15, 2025 at 5:39 AM
The goal being, based on how they are mimicking the authoritarian playbook, that in the chaos following that transition, however it pans out, they will try to convince people they are justified, declaring martial law.

My bet is that 47 is sweating about what the files will show, and that Thiel and

That’s why Vance did such a turnaround and went from being a vocal critic to being on the ticket and ending up as VP.

One way or the other, I truly believe the plan has always been to see Trump out of the seat of president, and have Vance moved up into the Oval Office.
November 15, 2025 at 5:39 AM
His days have always been numbered. He’s been a handy figure head and a tremendous tool for causing chaos and distraction. The second term has been brought to us by decades long work that resulted in Project 2025 and the architects behind all of that, I suspect, have always seen him as expendable.
November 15, 2025 at 5:39 AM
… concerns in our country about politicians who seem to be testing the waters for following the GOPs example, and there is all too often tenancy among some to believe that it couldn’t actually happen here.

Dangerous assumption. No one thought 45 would get elected the first time. Yet here we are.
November 15, 2025 at 5:29 AM
It’s an odd thing because here in Canada we’re watching what’s happening in the states and we can’t do anything at all. I certainly don’t think any of the representatives in the US want to hear from anyone in Canada right now.

There is quite a lot of discussion happening online about
November 15, 2025 at 5:29 AM
Exactly.
November 14, 2025 at 2:06 AM
The people currently in positions of power under the 47th administration have no interest in democracy, and are driven entirely by their greed for more, more of everything. More money, more land, more influence, more authority, etc..

Nothing is enough to satisfy them. That’s always unsustainable.
November 14, 2025 at 2:05 AM
… the authoritarian playbook all along, using 47 as the front man creating distraction and chaos while they work to dismantle any barriers to their goals.

Seems to me it would be plausible for them to use the inevitable unrest if 47 was no longer able to fulfil his duties, to invoke martial law.
November 14, 2025 at 2:03 AM
Ultimately, I sincerely believe the 47 is not only disposable to them, but that one way or another they fully intend to see him out of the Oval Office in such a way that the current VP is ushered into the president’s position without an election.

I think they’ve been running
November 14, 2025 at 2:03 AM
47 has merely been a useful figure head not so much because he’s a precisely charismatic leader, but because he is such a polarizing figure. He consistently generates chaos and distraction while the Heritage Foundation and their ilk make alliances with tech billionaires.
November 14, 2025 at 2:03 AM
To be honest, I don’t really think it’s him who’s been doing the learning.

During the Biden administration, there were a lot of boundary tests in state level politics, at the same time that Thiel et al we’re pumping out plans like Project 2025 and Project Ester.
November 14, 2025 at 2:03 AM
At this time, however, they’re not managing to get the kind of violent resistance they are looking to provoke.

I still have a theory that this is leading up to the removal of the current president, by one means or another, in a fashion that puts the current VP in the oval office. Then martial law.
November 14, 2025 at 1:56 AM
There are often claims that some of the changes supposedly being made in the interest public safety will be a limited duration.

They never are. They become a new status quo until everything implodes.

The powers that be will continue to try to push ppl to revolt.
November 14, 2025 at 1:56 AM
It’s easier to steal, and it’s also easier to create so much chaos that they push at least some people into a violent response, which they believe they can use to justify implementing martial law.

It’s a repeated pattern in the downfall stage of just about every empire.
November 14, 2025 at 1:56 AM
Either way, there are some problematic pitfalls.

To be honest, I’ve heard less about it being harder to keep track of, although I certainly heard and observed that, too, then I have heard people say that they can’t change it so why get overwhelmed?

I understand the sentiment, but it worries me.
