The painting shows the reflection of a man taking a photo of himself in a dirty mirror. The surface of the mirror is covered in graffiti, some of which are related to things that have happened to me in the USA this year. My life there became quite a shitshow and so did I, to the point where I could barely recognize myself. I left the country a few months ago and now I'm in a better place. The next self portrait will be more joyful.
