1.0 has and will still receive no updates to its database other than processing assets for avatars already indexed on 1.0.
We ask users to only use 1.0 if not interested in trying 2.0 or if there is any specific reason in which 2.0 would not be usable for them.

Upon initially releasing 2.0 (and 'unreleasing' it in less than a day) we have received/read a lot of feedback, especially about the UI and UX. We have and will continue to improve these and implement your feedback with the goal to move forward and get everyone on 2.0.

We have also shipped some hotfixes to remedy some of the issues on the rewrite which are directly responsible for some of the errors that are unrelated to the unreachability of the website.
As always, we will keep you updated while we work on resolving these issues.

We are also considering switching back to the old web server, which still has 1.0 running, should this downtime be ongoing for longer than we feel is necessary.
Our top priority right now is to ensure that the rewrite can be accessed without timeouts.

While the rewrite has been tested constantly to ensure stability and usability, it is clear that we have not invested enough resources into the specifications to run it on and serve it to our users.
We regret this mistake and are working very hard to remedy this issue.

A more formal post with the changes in more detail along with some other information will be posted later. There is quite a lot of things that have changed and some things we have to adjust in the short-term.

Due to this being a rewrite from the ground up, there might be a few errors and/or unexpected things. These will be fixed in the coming few days and we ask for your patience while we collect information regarding these as they appear.

Initially upon being reached out by the pixiv team in February, we were not sure what their thoughts would be about the website and service. But we have been given nothing else but support and an 'informal endorsement' for making it easier for overseas users to find and buy assets legally.
