I'm going to take a wild guess that they're not firing directly on an inhabited city and instead doing it 10 miles up the road, where there is nothing.

I'm not saying it's good or everything is fine. It's awful and clearly meant to intimidate. But they're not firing over inhabited buildings.

This stretch of the 5 is entirely owned by camp Pendleton. Most of it is empty land. There are no homes there.

200 yards is well within viable range for a competent deer / elk hunter, especially in that area. I really don't think he aimed for the neck / head. It is likely he aimed for center mass and hit high and left. You can buy a scoped rifle that could make this shot at literally any gun shop.

But fascists DON'T think like you. They are very willing to do violence and kill people, it's like their whole thing. So while you might be willing to lay down and die when they disregard your kind request to live, the rest of us want to make out of this thing.

200 yards isn't very far for a rifle. Most outdoor rifle ranges go to 500 or 1000, especially in Utah. Any competent hunter could have made this. Experienced, yes, but nothing crazy.

I'm not sure how true the story is but many people credit Mariposa Grove, just outside Yosemite, with inspiring Lucas. It's absolutely worth going to.
