Hi Danny! I don't agree with the "bad ppl" dig, but I have worked in animal rescue and it is emotionally devastating. I think the comment comes from that person wanting everyone to understand the overwhelming problem. Doesn't mean it's the right choice for you tho. Nothing wrong w your choice.

I think "smart" is different than deeply manipulative. Smart people bring others along because they 1. Are smart and 2. Help people understand things better. If you can build consensus you don't need to manipulate.
