Art definitely can be a product, especially if it’s being made for the purpose of marketing. A small business owner trying to get an ad made doesn’t tell the artist “just express yourself”

Idk man, we used to put it together by hand. Obviously automation is causing the standards to slip. I know because it’s not a human doing it

If you don’t understand that you get paid less to do less work I can’t help you
November 8, 2024 at 11:23 PM
It’s not treating someone wrong to pay them less for simpler work. That’s literally just a labor market
November 8, 2024 at 9:55 PM
This is so not common sense, so much so that it’s never happened in the history of employment. If a job becomes significantly easier, salary decreases commensurate with that ease; especially if it makes a job that once required a degree easy enough to be done by a general laborer

Why would a company ever pay to automate a function and retain the same amount of salaries on payroll? Do you think they automate jobs for fun?

I don’t think it’s really a good or bad thing, it’s like recognizing that the sky is blue or that cars will replace wagons

I think total automation is an unavoidable future and we should figure out UBI before that happens. I’m not on a side necessarily, it just annoys me when people who never complained when they benefited from the savings of automation up til this point are mad now that that it’s coming for them too.

Wouldn’t want to do something boring like have a job you can support a family with. Responses like this validate my belief that people who are intensely against AI art don’t really care about peoples lives, just that THEY in particular don’t want their jobs automated.

I have a hard time believing that Polievre will have the same effect on Canada as Trump will on the US

All I know is that we’re gonna get to see a lot more articles like this in the coming months, if that’s any consolation

Yeah, we’re on our way to developing nation territory. Just try to start the immigration process to Canada

The laziness in not even using an AI model to steal the art is astounding

I vaguely remember a SCOTUS ruling that says presidents are incapable of breaking laws while in office
