I also think this will be interesting to see Desparked planeswalkers in this fight too. It gives us reasons to see some of those we haven’t seen in forever. Sure it might feel like war of the spark 2, but overall it makes me more excited to see what happens in the actual mtg sets coming ahead.

And honestly, seeing how his aspiration to connect the planes for domination now fulfilled with the omenpaths, I really can’t wait to see what his plan will be now that he’s out.

Nicol Bolas coming back is the best thing for Magic’s story right now. They’ve been lacking a big bad since March of the Machine that the story. Bolas gives the narrative a destination now. And honestly, it feels awesome seeing him back. It gives us a reason to go to so many planes in a short time.

While I can understand what he’s getting at, I am choosing to ignore the message as I get into deck 41 now.

When you just want preview season to start now but you know you’ll wait either way cause you have zero control on the situation.
