That's creepy as fuck. What happened to just letting the dead rest?

I don't remember a great deal of "Lifeforce" as I watched it so long ago, but I do remember I watched it purely based on stumbling across the autopsy scene.

It had some good spooky moments, and the story had a good base synopsis, albeit it could certainly benefit from a lot more development, but it wasn't terrible.

Overall, it was fun. Good disposable horror film.

It's the Cub Scouts fault. I went Paper Target Shooting with my troop when I was about 8 or 9 during a camping trip and was instantly hooked.

Otherwise, I'm just another, and I quote from a right-wing colleague, "woke lefty liberal snowflake".

Feeling is mutual. I definitely know my Target Shooting and general appreciation of firearms is one of the least left-aligning, and therefore, one of the least popular things I talk about here on this mostly left-leaning platform, but no one has bailed on me yet... I think... 😅

My problem with Weapons was the trailers really set us up for some A24 level dark supernatural goodness, and the film even started that way, only to then dump some comic book villain on the screen, and a dull story.

This is why I dont trust trailers. They're just moving book covers.

Not gonna lie, my tired arse eyes read that as you're fuelled with enough Sprite, and now I can't get the idea of someone going on a Sprite induced rampage out of my head.

I was actually going to watch that tonight! I decided not to after reading the synopsis.

Instead, I'm sitting here losing interest in "Weapons"...

Hollywood: "What shall I do today... OH! I know! I'll remake another phenomenal cult horror classic... terribly..."

I actually have so many legit ideas for this, like types of rooms for each store theme, machines, employees, types of customers, etc, that wouldn't fit into a Bluesky post. I thought about it WAY too hard the other day! Shame I dont know the first thing about coding and game development 😅
