Sounds silly, but literally the only time I swipe through the pages of apps are only when I've forgotten what I was doing in the first place. If I know which app I'm looking for like Notes, I swipe-down/search for it, go "ahh, crap" and then find the app manually. That's my muscle memory.

Pull-down to search and get the recent apps list.
Just being able to get to the Notes app by searching "Notes" would be nice. Since being WFH, almost all the apps I need regularly are in that Siri-suggested list b/c I don't use many others -- so that and search are generally how I get around.
