Shootings are not ok. It is evidence of how far gone we are as a society that many of us are relishing in the death of a public figure, no mater how repugnant. While the world may be a better place with some people gone from it, their removal isn't up to us to decide. Empathy is important.

@neildegrassetyson.com I may have this entirely wrong, but as I understand it, we're tilted about 60% relative to the galactic plane and in the thick of an arm of it. Why didn't we send Voyager off parallel to the galactic plane to leave the solar system instead of perpendicular to it?
