MikeJohnson’s policies put 7 million protestors in the streets yesterday. This is what’s eating him inside today.

American policy:
- Trump taxes American consumers to make them stop buying Chinese goods
- china stops buying soybeans from America and instead buys from Argentina;
- trump now wants to pay Argentina $20 billion;
- finally trump says he’ll pay corporate farmers $10 billion.

I hear all these republicans saying they believe Trump’s denial that he didn’t write the Epstein birthday letter. Are these the same republicans who said they believed him when he denied knowing Stormy Daniels?

What this country needs is one big, beautiful constitutional amendment that would address money in politics, ethics for public officials and redistricting rules. It’s a a political enema that’s long overdue.

The fact that Jake Tapper could only get Pence to come in and discuss the Anchorage meeting tells you all the other republicans were unwilling to pretend Trump’s meeting was anything other than a failure. Where were Graham, Wicker, Thune and all the others?

Why can’t Schumer and Jeffries announce there will be no Democratic votes for government funding unless the bill includes legislation limiting redistricting to one a decade?

Section 2 of the 14th amendment allows the House to reduce the delegation from any State that denies residents the right to vote. This punishes states who deny voters from election participation. How is what Texas wants to do any different since no democrat can elect a candidate of their choice?

Having read the California lawsuit on Trump’s illegal tariffs, Democratic members of the Foreign Relations Committee should contact all countries negotiating with Trump to inform them that they are not going to get anything since the negotiations lack a legal basis.

When you are asked about Biden, you might want to point out that he delivered a 3% inflation rate, an economy that grew 2.8% in 4Q of ‘24 and a stock market at or near record highs. Then ask how the orange face is doing.

We all understand the Dems have limited tools so here’s a thought. Announce today that Dems will only vote for a $500 billion debt increase subject to Musk testifying and documenting what he’s done. Tell the R’s there will be conditions in debt bill.Then rinse/repeat. Senate dems most critical here.

Maybe the next time you or a guest characterize social security as the biggest driver of the debt, you should walk them through the annual financial statement for the program. Since 1983 the Fund has taken in more revenue than it has spent.

When you interview republicans who rail about the debt, could you ask them why they’re so eager to increase the debt (15%)via the tax bill? Kinda seems they are talking out of both sides of their yapper.

During the next two years, most actions by the Republican Congress will either increase the debt or reduce the standard of living for non-billionaires. I just hope Leader Jeffries staff tracks these for a 2026 report card.
