We've been back from our British vacation for almost a week now. I'm just now recovering. We walked 36.1 miles, climbed 51 flights of stairs, took a 410 mile train ride, drove 2,087 miles & flew 7,744 miles.
That's a lot for these two 75 yr old people.
But it was worth it.

We've been back from our British vacation for almost a week now. I'm just now recovering. We walked 36.1 miles, climbed 51 flights of stairs, took a 410 mile train ride, drove 2,087 miles & flew 7,744 miles.
That's a lot for these two 75 yr old people.
But it was worth it.

We visited an amazing castle ruin yesterday - Castle Harlech in Wales. Built by Edward I between 1282 - 1289 for £8,190 - seems cheap.
Words fail me. Here are some pics.

How about a Magical Mystery Tour? We went on a 2 hour bus ride around significant places in the Beatles' lives.
It's a very touristy thing to do, but WE'RE IN LIVERPOOL. You gotta do something Beatles related & this little tour was great!

For anyone interested in coming to Penzance you could hardly do better than staying at the Hotel Penzance. Truly a first-class experience with beautiful views of the harbor & the city.

Went down the road to St. Michael's Mount. We have tickets to go over to the island on a small boat, but the island was closed & no boats were running. The surf was a little rough & the tide was in - so, no walking to the island either.

We drove to the Sherbourne Old Castle on the way to Penzance. Amazing!
