I just saw this last week, and the cast had such wonderful things to say about Rob Reiner and how carefully and respectfully he directed them when they were children

I wanted to let you know that I'm working on a name book for my youngest and I used "hoatzin" for an "H"!

I am daily grateful that I read Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet at the right moment for me to internalize "On Giving": my automatic reaction to cries for means-testing, warnings that someone will "take advantage" (how? by *eating*?), or anything else of the sort is to ask, "And who are you...?"

This analysis ought to be everywhere. The canard that Harris's problem was insufficient outreach by the campaign rather than misogynoir from white voters cannot die quickly enough.

1. If the shoe doesn't fit, you don't have to wear it
2a. You're white & live in a white-supremacist culture: it is IMPOSSIBLE not to have absorbed/internalized racism from that

This is the version of the results I got when I lied* and rated all the seafood options as neutral on how likely I would be to finish them.

*The true answer is "not at all *because I don't want to die*," not because of personal preferences on taste, texture, etc.

..in his "threat level" announcements: the damn thing went red-orange-yellow-blue-green and I *fixated* on that in sheer obsessive irritation

I already reskeeted about Get Your War On, but the first time I remember really raucously laughing at something was when I saw @theonion.com's TV listings 2/

1. If the shoe doesn't fit, no one's making you wear it
2. If your assistance is conditional, your morality is bullshit
3. A threat's being implicit does not make it not a threat
4. Centering yourself by demanding individuation demonstrates your unexamined privilege

Do better.
