Powerless is my latest audiobook and it’s such an easy listen and so well written

“Powerless” is the debut novel by Lauren Roberts and the first installment in The Powerless Trilogy.  Set in the kingdom of Ilya, the story follows Paedyn Gray, an Ordinary—someone without supernatural abilities—who survives by posing as a Psychic to blend in with the magical Elite.  Her precarious existence takes a dramatic turn when she inadvertently saves Prince Kai Azer, the future Enforcer of the realm.  This act propels her into the Purging Trials, a brutal competition designed to showcase the Elites’ powers.  Without any abilities of her own, Paedyn must navigate the deadly challenges of the Trials while concealing her true identity. As she grows closer to Prince Kai, she grapples with forbidden feelings and the constant threat of exposure.
