It took a while only because I was too lazy to create and manage yet another account! 😅 But truthfully, it’s so much more chill and peaceful here.

No! A friend had recently got him into ACOTAR so when I said that, he was like, Yeah, that’s fair. It was a happy ending! 😂

It’s frustrating because that also degrades the user experience. I’m on the hunt for a blogging platform run by people who I feel like I can trust to act decently, but also something I can just use to write without worrying about managing the backend too much.

Ah, I see! The bandwagon is real. 😂 I was chatting about books in mixed (genre) company recently, and someone made a comment about not reading romance. And I was like, You know, women read books that men like all the time. There’s no reason why men can’t learn to enjoy books that we like, too.

Not gonna lie. Although this genre isn’t for me at this time, I’m so pleased that this gap has been filled. I would have inhaled these books when I was bingeing fantasy novels decades ago. The lack of depth in the love stories were so frustrating!

And now we also have to consider whether some bajillionaire will throw a tantrum and make the platform unbearable to use.

That’s so interesting. Social media is exhausting. Maybe we’re all just very tired. 😅

This is so funny! 😂

It’s also just so much easier to find old things in blogs. Impossible on IG. I’m looking for a platform with the absolute simplest workflow for me.

Great point. And having to repost the link on multiple platforms is, frankly, exhausting!

And finally, what platform won’t make me feel icky? It’s not Meta or Google or Wordpress. Who can we trust with our words and our communities?

And it’s not to niche down. Chuck that out the window. How can we share our love of other forms of art through our shared love of romance books? And in such a way that the discussion is not shaped by an obligation to publishers, authors, booksellers or anyone else involved in producing the work.

BEN!!! 😂

😆 You make a good point! Podcast in spirit if not in actuality…

It’s my comfort film, so I’ve seen it more times than I can count, and every time I’m surprised to see him! lol
