🙋‍♀️ Former bookstore owner here and I can attest that this is true. Also requesting a title not already stocked often results in buying a copy for the customer and at least one copy for the shelves. And indies rec books to each other a LOT! Book chats online, conferences, etc.

Well I recommended a Cease and Desist order at the very least (and hopefully a lawsuit) when I used the Help option in their app to complain. Only a bot, true, but if enough people mention ICE I’m pretty sure it will come to the attention of a human. Looking for other ways to reach them.

All of those are very fine qualities that enhance our feeds.
