Back in the day when I worked selling to manufacturing companies, that was a common story.

I have a client who works in boat manufacturing and he'd tell me stories of people doing their first morning shift, then leaving to buy lunch and never returning.

If I got an enquiry from a potential new client, I would be too embarrassed to do a follow up call six months after the initial enquiry.

Funnily enough, the accountant I did appoint took two days to get back to me from my online enquiry and I almost put a line through them for that.

A few years ago, I was looking for a new accountant. One I spoke to said he was heading to the US for a couple of weeks, but he would contact me when he got back. He contacted me about six months later and obviously, I had already appointed a new accountant.

I cannot think up anything worse than having your banking app tell you about your spending habits over the past year.
