For sure. Every interaction takes triple the emotional energy. Everyone is on a fast track to burnout.

I think it’s part of being a librarian in this current climate. This week we had a patron come in saying she heard Elon musk is trying to cancel social security and can we help her figure it out. Instantly depleted of spoons and completely overwhelmed.

Yeah, I’ve always felt the nausea was caused by anxiety. So maybe that’s why it’s constant. 😂😭

I am currently experiencing this exact feeling. It’s been happening over the past three years or so, but it’s gotten worse this year since I got back on anxiety meds. Nauseous basically all the time and have to force myself to eat.

I work in SC and this kind of policy extremely common. Minors are not people, they’re property of their parents. It’s so frustrating.

And disabled people.

It’s even worse in primaries. Less than 20% of my county council district turned out in a very contentious primary. That broke me. I helped door knock for the reasonable Republican candidate . None of it mattered.

Reference is a different world. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m getting married this year to a cis man and I’m seriously weighing changing my name. As cool as it would be to keep my name, I just don’t know if it will be safe in a few years.
