Go for it!! There's no harm in trying and I think bringing magic into existing routines is a really good way to keep it consistent, especially on low spoon days

I know some people make altars/shrines in video games! I have one in Stardew Valley (I just make a chest to fill with things that remind me of my deities). Some people even make full on spells in games

I've also heard of people who make altars in boxes so they can hide them under a bed. I've also just recently heard about using shadow boxes, which would be a good way to keep it visible but contained. I have mine on shelves my cat can't reach
