In middle school in the late 70s there wasn’t a lot to read, so we all read Tolkien. The only other books I remember reading at that age were byJames Herriot and C.S.Lewis. But I read a lot, so there must have been others. Old (50s and 60s) Christian romances from my mom’s shelf. I was desperate.
