I can’t really answer as to what sites are down. I know that a lot of government websites are down or have been deleted. I wish I knew what people who rely on those sites will do. I hadn’t heard that about CA but there are a lot of rumors and speculation out there. So who knows?

Good question. It is because people have to earn a living and still function every day. But there’s definitely an underlying sense of fear and anger — at least among those who are paying attention. Sadly, there is still a large MAGA cult that thinks tRump and Muskrat are doing great things. Scary!

So all the good work that Lutheran Social Services do with children, foster care, adoption, day care, services for special needs children & adults, senior and family services can just be ended by a criminal and a megalomaniac billionaire? Are there no rules/laws and recourse? Insanity!

So the party that is outlawing abortion and birth control is now cutting off financial support to Lutheran Family Services which has historically provided child adoption services. I know thus because my late mother's adoption was thru them in 1929.

They’re going after Lutherans? Whaaa…? Do they really not know what Lutheran Family Services does? The whole “faith-based initiatives” stuff was THEIR idea in the first place!

Eh idk attacking Lutheran Family Services is not a good move... They’re a massive non profit faith based organization that works with youth and families- including adoption services. Republicans fund those organizations. I can imagine many of the employees vote R and many R donors donate to them

Missing from this discussion is that Lutheran Family Services provides behavioral health, early intervention for young children, kinship care for kids in foster care, and a host of other things. These places have budgets stretched to the limit to provide care for the most vulnerable.
