It was a great goal and a well deserved win by the US. But we Canadians remain very proud of our women’s team. They played their hearts out.

I was watching MNF as well and remember the shock and the sorrow. The dream had died.

No argument that most Canadians view Trump as so much excrement, but it's worth noting that Justin Trudeau was despised by a lot of Canadians. His resignation kickstarted the Liberal resurgence.

Many other expressions would suit, but "drop dead" sums it up nicely.

It can seem a bit low stakes, but it's one of the very few occasions where Canadian sports teams go head to head, East vs. West, in a championship. Sadly, the support in Vancouver is lukewarm, but the CFL still has an almost religious hold on people in the prairies. Go Bombers!
