Great movie that I feel has undeservedly been forgotten.

A great film and actor. Can’t wait to hear the breakdown.

I thought it was pretty effective, though I found Judd’s transformation to be abrupt (I also felt that way about the Shining, so I know I’m in the minority probably). As originally a play, I’m sure Bug will be great on Broadway

I’ve seen most of them. Battle of Algiers is perhaps my all-time favorite movie.

I felt the same way.

I didn’t really care for The Devils, but I understand why people do. I found it visually stunning, as I do most of Russell. I just find some of his other films tighter and more interesting is all.

I hear you and agree. I’m admittedly inconsistent, and I probably have a tendency to lean into art over the artist. If both the film and the artist are trash, I’m out (ie Brett Ratner).

That’s right. I hadn’t seen 2 or 3 in a long time. 2 is fine and is a decent time filler. It doesn’t hold a candle to the original, of course, which is a personal favorite and a frequent watch. I have a tough time with Frank Miller and his politics as well. They are all over the sequel.

For sure, haha.

hey autistic person here

i get really fucking anxious when i see people uncritically say eugenicist shit like “solve the autism problem”

when the main problems we face are ableism, intersectional discrimination, austerity, and, as stated, eugenics!
