We had that edition, which was super outdated by the time I was a teen. My grandmother used them to cover the floor vents in rooms she wasn’t using to keep the AC bill down and we (3) granddaughters used them to press flowers.

I think I liked the idea of both books more than the actual books. There’s an artistry to her writing but it just gets to be too much for me

I debated doing a crochet version that would be similar to those temperature blankets using one hdc per page read in a color from the book cover, but I read so many in ebook and audio that page count could be tricky. Also, I have so much fabric on hand already!

Listening to The Twilight Garden by Sara Nisha Adams. It’s a little slow, but it is two storylines connected by place with interesting characters.
