Keith Haring was so young too. I am writing this at 35, and so much has happened, but there will be so much more happening in my life soon. It always blows my mind that I live longer than these great people. It really makes me want to do more and help others too

I found out about this when I was older and was so glad that I was part of it and could help others in a small way. Now, AIDS testing is a regular process for pregnant and newborn kids (at least in my state)..

There were so many lives lost, and I didn't know how much it affected my mom, dad, and all of my older friends and family members. I was born in one of the largest per capita places in the US with AIDS at the time. My mom was part of a study to help track it and so was I.
