It escalated into a show of amazing generosity as we tasted bottle after bottle from his private reserve of undisgorged wines.
Trained notably in Champagne, Madl has very clear ideas: minimum 3 years sur lie, and 7 is better. I agree! The wines are firmly in the Austrian superleague.
