Financially I’m not making it. Scraping by would be overselling it. If it weren’t for the generosity of friends and family I would be SERIOUSLY in danger of losing my house. I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going to do about the suit against me for $8k brought by JP Morgan Chase. Emotionally I’m exhausted. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being back in the school setting, yet I’m extending myself WELL BEYOND what a “substitute” would normally bring. I’m invested in these kids doing well because I care, and I’m not going to let that slip. They deserve better. While the money issues aren’t the only thing that’s affecting me, I am finding that I don’t put myself out there to connect with others because, by and large, putting oneself out there costs money. So it snowballs into me feeling lonely and friend-less. My Marketplace plan in 2025 was $296.91. In 2026 (which some begin in December, and that’s when they raise the premium) will be $609.48.
