What 2024 and 2025, to this point, have taught me is: hobbies are intrinsically linked to value for most people and makes hobbying annoying. And the internet has genuinely become 90%, if not more, a hub for negative voicing, critique

One incredibly pervasive thought with hobbying (coins, stamps, models, planes) is how deeply capitalism has ruined free time and how much culture demands otherwise. EVERY subreddit for any of my hobbies is "VALUE? IS THIS WORTH ANYTHING?" and so little of personal joy.

I think the surest sign that companies are not your friend is PTO or work from home on sick days to continue game versus PTI and getting rested to be top of game
