Did you resort to extreme measures, such as long trousers?

Love this album. Saw NO a few times before its release. The 12” records were even better with great emotion especially in Thieves Like Us. They peaked here.

Lemmy was the same, not even a nod to my one gig playing bass, as he passed. Ugly fella too.

I passed John Williams walking his dog on Hampstead Heath. Not once did he acknowledge my brilliant guitar playing!

Definite sign either of Seasonal overdoing it or withdrawal from overdoing it. Hope you’re feeling chipper for tomorrow!

Let me guess, 1000 AOR American white rock and Unknown Pleasures? Has anyone got a copy of “10001 West African albums to jig around to before you croak it”?

They changed my ears when I heard the debut. Music didn’t have to be electric and drums after all. The songwriting tailed off after first two albums.

Here’s a handy revision guide (it was either this or Bony M’s Rasputin but I prefer Tom Lehrer)

Not sure about this production but the story was originally about anti-Semitism in Imperialist pre-Communist Russia. I am sure the Communists continued it tho.

I guess it was good to hear Malcolm bounce back after his complete meltdown (had he been back in the States doing art in the interim?) but the whole album sounds thin and the material is weak compared to anything from the previous decade. Gimme Soul Desert or Thief anybday.

There appear to be quite a few live Can releases of late? I’ve not heard them. May take a weekend of wives-away to get down to them!

I was given a copy as a present. Shame to say I have not given it the time it deserves. And that’s a lot.

Love this album - Can at their most playful and absorbing all sorts of world music sounds. Jaki was a Latin music drummer after all
