Yeah I get what you mean. The semantic distinction between communist and socialist still confuses me. Correct me if I'm wrong but Lenin considered himself a socialist. So Marxist-leninism still probably socialist. Which personally I prefer even if it is more confusing

That's a good point. But aren't soc Dems broadly speaking "socialist"? Assuming "democratic socialism" a la Madani is the same as Soc Dem

This is essentially the paradox. By this logic, you could justify voting for the Tories if your sole objective is to stop reform. They are probably the most similar in terms of policy, and have the best chance of taking reforms votes

Yeah idk don't you see the irony that labour becomes more like reform every day and yet people still scold people into voting for labour to stop reform? It's madness. I understand first past the post is shit but it's the same problem in all liberal democracies

How you end up with reform is with labour mimicking reform policies in a futile attempt to win their voters, which doesn't work and alienates their base.
