Not repeating, just helping you follow the thread of your own logic. You called it a 2-horse race Spurs finished 3rd in — I pointed out they were never one of the horses. That’s not pride, that’s just facts.

Were the two horses you mentioned Arsenal and Leicester then, given that only they had been top of the league that season and not Spurs? Otherwise you’re the one making up some logic about only previous title winners being allowed to be in a title race.

Not particularly, just calling out a decade old false narrative that popped up on my Spurs Bluesky feed.
October 6, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Remind me, was that the season where Spurs ‘bottled the league’ despite having not once been top of it the entire season? The season where Arsenal were top of it for 4 matchweeks until mid Jan? That season?

Yeah, I’m surprised there is so much vitriol aimed at Ange rather than Marinakis. Like you say, he’s bonkers.
October 6, 2025 at 6:16 AM
Yeah I think you’ve answered it. It might just be that Nuno massively overachieved with Forest last season. Wasn’t their form quite poor towards the end already?
October 6, 2025 at 5:43 AM
Ok so if Forest avoid an unprecedented injury crisis this season, then presumably par for them would be finishing around the relegation zone this year?
October 6, 2025 at 5:02 AM
You do know that Ange finished 5th in his first season at Spurs, right?
October 5, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Weird that it’s aimed at Ange rather than Marinakis if you ask me.

No, the difference between big clubs and small clubs is European trophies.

Yeah and much needed after missing out on MGW/Eze with Maddison and Kulusevski’s injuries.

Yeah someone else had mentioned it so assumed you’d seen 😅

“Easy enough to push around and cut through”, having just kept a clean sheet at City and by and large coped well enough against PSG in Frank’s first competitive game.

I think that’s it - the higher pressure creates that limited patience. If your chairman, in Spurs’ case Levy, is saying he wants the club to challenge for titles, then the fanbase expects a squad of highly capable individuals - no room for passengers or long runs of poor form.
August 19, 2025 at 8:52 PM
But isn’t that probably down to the fact that your better players aren’t going to get dropped because there isn’t the level of competition for places in the squad? The Spurs fan base are ridiculously excited about (hopefully) getting a player of Eze’s quality.
August 19, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Patience is easy when they’re by far and away your best players, no?
August 19, 2025 at 8:44 PM
I don’t think it’s anything to do with it being Spurs in particular. He’s being brought in for a significant fee in his prime to one of the biggest clubs in the country - the fans of any club like that are entitled to have high hopes and expectations, no?
August 19, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Out of curiosity, what would you consider a good move for him if not Spurs?
August 19, 2025 at 8:40 PM
These constant whiney posts are a plague on my Spurs Bluesky timeline.
