Agreed. That’s why capitalism is so heinous. Yeah it’s what we rock with the hardest in the west, I would say capitalism is the most popular religion. But it operates like a virus and must be fed until there’s nothing left.

Capitalism like every other system unchecked is terrible. Nothing wrong with making profit, but when unchecked it becomes runaway capitalism and all else that doesn’t feed profit or stock prices be damned.

Agreed. The focus on AI, tends to be the fairytale-like wonderful possibilities that AI can enable. However, there are some very dark, nasty possibilities too. AI like every other technology needs guard rails to keep us all honest.
