Joe Ryan “might” have gotten the Sox to the divisional round, but let’s be real. He would’ve been a 2 month rental. This team is a year away, next offseason (hello Bregman) is big because they have money - we will see where the owners are - can spend and readjust bigger roster where there’s a glut.

Everyone has their own personal needs and desires, that’s OK. It’s magnified at the “elite level” whether an athlete, musician, artisan, etc. I guess I’d simply ask Tom - why not pick up the phone and talk to Scottie before speaking to Scottie’s motivations?

Best teams advance and emerge as it closes towards the final. If anyone watched the FCS semis this past weekend…top 4(of 16) seeds made it. Great games. Won you games in regular season…let the chips fall…get in or get better. A national championship isn’t an invitational based on money/tradition.
