Hi, I would recommend Dunnotar castle, the scenery is very dramatic. Crathes castle (about 20 minutes from the city centre) is also really nice and the National Trust staff give tours.

I’m not attempting to defend this man, just wanted to clarify your comment about ADHD a little.

My understanding is that there is research to support the idea that a significant number of people in prisons have ADHD (can’t remember exact figures).

Hello, ADHD-er here. You are correct that ADHD does not in itself make someone violent.

However, one of the features of ADHD is poor impulse control which I guess could lead someone to become violent if they also have had childhood trauma.

Long time Listener of Advisory opinions here, I appreciate your intellectual honesty.

If I may ask, have you written about Assisted Dying/Euthanasia? It would be good to read your thoughts on this issue!

Also, I would love to hear an Advisory Opinions/Popehat crossover one day, if possible :)

to be placed in the same category as that man by virtue of a medical diagnosis over which I have no control.

To be clear, I am not trying to criticise you personally. However word choice is important and I hope my comment is received in the constructive manner I intend.

Thanks for reading :)

Hello, I am autistic and enjoy reading your work.

My sense is that you are using the word autistic as shorthand to criticise Musk (but please tell me if I misunderstood!)

Musk’s autism is not an excuse for his awful behaviour. Most autistic people I know are nothing like Musk and I’m disheartened

Hi Prof Beard, so glad you’re here :)

I’m excited to read your Emperor book…if I may ask, do you have any thoughts on Vitellius?

He seems to be one of the more ‘normal’ of all the wannabe emperors, at least as he is described in the History of Rome podcast.
