sai2 only has these but they don't allow you to adjust the mids/low/highlights, just all the color. and the only gradient option is a linear (or circular) gradient so i guess no.. unless i took my work into procreate if i wanted to color it and then put it back into sai lol

this time i colored in my favorite panel from volume 1 #AKIRA
panels from AKIRA 1 that i colored in 1st panel: some guy, yamagata, and kaisuke stand in front of kaneda. yamagata says: "i didn't recognize him at first. something's happened to him. he's changed. but there's no doubt about it! it was tetsuo, all right!" 2nd panel: zooming into the back of kaneda's head, everything fades into a road going by with a motorcycle coming into frame. the onomatopoeia is "ドドドド" the sound of an engine

remembered when i figured out what panels otomo was working on in this interview because i was trying to find any footage of him drawing and im still mad the quality is potato and is there for 5 seconds
