Oh yeah, solving stuff in game was never on the table. It was always going to be above table discussions. And has been. But this dude is just not agreeing to the social contract 😔

That's the plan! My brither/GM decided it this morning. It'll be a lot nicer.

Yup, that's the plan. My brother has already decided on it as of this morning 😅

Basically every couple of sessions I gave them a new front page, but it had people, locations, events and other stuff that they could check out.

If I did it again, I'd make those npc cards for each as well, and locations mapped out for them.

What I've done before is basically the binder and index cards. I like the idea of making an actual city map with locations they fill in (like what I've seen @highrollersdnd.bsky.social do)

But my personal favorite was what I did with Eberron, I made a newspaper.

We played Daggerheart awhile ago and used a setting that was more sci-fi... He makes a less than one dimensional idiot Barbarian type who literally just "I look for food"

I'm just so tired.
The rest if the group is cool. Just... I need a good group here in person. Online groups are killing me.

Like... Enemy giving a tense moment...
Guy - "I use this ability!"
"you're not in range"
Guy - "What? I'm not? What about this spell?"
"Spell effect is an emanation, it doesn't go around the wall"
Guy - "this is bullshit!"
"please just shut up"

Like, this man is not meant for these games.

I always make my characters to fit the world. I don't do joke characters, characters can be humorous without just being a gag character.

This guy? Literally just makes a caricature of a cartoon character. And everytime there's a serious moment he speaks in an obnoxious character joke and ruins it

Super annoyed about it. I am planning to run the Delian Tomb for this group in January, and honestly, I just don't want him there.

It's also just the good ol imbalance of what people want out of characters and expectations.

I like humor, but I prefer like measured characters.

The problem with Marx, Engels, Lenin, Luxembourg, Bác Hồ, (etc) is that they neglected to account for a arts majors in the US and UK making videos about pop culture. Who needs theory when I have my emotional support media review?

Um, it's called praxis, sweaty, look it up.
December 19, 2025 at 11:47 PM
Yup. The problem is that it just gets called "re education camps" by both republicans and democrats.

But deprogramming propaganda requires full education. Since as you noted, reconstruction and denazification ultimately failed because of infiltration.

Strix are basically the Inconnu, but broader. While the Sabbat want to kill the antediluvians, the Strix want to become the next antediluvians (power wise).
They are mainly elders who thrive on manipulation and decades long campaigns to rise the ranks.

They see themselves as the elite bourgeoisie.

The Lilithian League is almost the same as the Sabbat in being religious loyalists, but to Lilith. They don't care about Caine or the antediluvians. They care about paving the way for their dark mother to return.
Politically, they are the stereotypes of hags and witches. The divine feminine.
December 19, 2025 at 8:19 PM
The Sabbat, in my version, do hate the Masquerade and the Camarilla, but I frame it as them being religious loyalists to Caine above all.
Sure, kindred ARE better than mortals, obviously, and the masquerade is silly. The main goal is killing antediluvians that the Camarilla calls myths.

The Carthians are assorted flavors of anarchism, both anarcho-communism and anarcho-capitalism, because I've done my time in anarchist spaces and they always attract right wing anarchists due to the nature of anarchism not protecting from right infiltration.
December 19, 2025 at 8:19 PM
It just depends on what those things mean and how to achieve it.

Camarilla values order, structure, hierarchy. And they will resort to authoritarianism to maintain it. You want in? Fine, follow the rules.

Fall in line? You'll thrive in the Camarilla.
