Another reason the opinion section of the Globe and Mail doesn’t hold much sway with me. Lately, when it comes to the economy and politics, they’re batting 150.
If I want more informed and thoughtful opinions, I’ll talk with my grade school nephews and niece.

Trillium Path redesign at Bayview Station.

1st is more controlled, but not always necessary with pedestrian & bike intermixing. 2nd allows for more space for people to move around each other while entering in a controlled manner. Placing a wayfinding post in the middle would be good too.

In case you’re still not sure, the CBC gets it right:

What the hell BBC?! Do you really not know how to spell NASA? It’s an acronym, therefore it should be ALL CAPS. Nasa isn’t anything but perhaps some person’s name.

Just a reminder of why we’re in a housing crisis in Ontario (and elsewhere).

I’m rather impressed at how far out of date Google Maps has become compared to Apple Maps.

It’s a stark turn around from several years ago.

This is why a lot of Americans don’t understand how Trump’s tariffs are harming them as well. Even quality sources like New York magazine frame it incorrectly.

They’re not a tax on Canada! They’re a tax on Americans who buy from Canada!

For comparison, here’s Southwest Ontario’s electoral map.

No convolution, no Gerrymandering. Just large blocked areas based on geographic population.

Thank you Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs for providing me extra funds to donate to your political opposition.

This is the kind of wacky misunderstandings and misinformation that is going around with regard to TikTok.

Oh, excellent. Now make these two intersections back into circles and you have a decent conversion.

That it’s 2025 and Canadian banks still require you to, in order to access certain features, log into your account on a web browser is astonishing and sad.

Hey Royal Bank of Canada, get your act together!

Turns out, because of congestion pricing you won’t be stuck in traffic anymore (or at least far less traffic).
January 5, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Soooo… seen a lot of ppl posting about congestion pricing in my Urbanism feed. Most are just terrible takes.

Data wins. In New York if you drove into the city via Holland Tunnel today you paid $9 to cut that one-way trip from about 30 mins to 10-12. Easily worth it.

Congestion pricing works!

I’ve definitely “towed” other bikes with my cargo bike either to pick up my other bikes from a tuneup or helping out friends.
